How To Choose The Right Equipment
May 01, 2022
If you are a pure beginner surfer, the best way is to ask your surfing friends to borrow a surfboard or rent one. If you are new to surfing, it is better not to think about owning a small and fashionable surfboard, an expensive wet warm suit or other equipment. There are two good reasons. First of all, you may find yourself not in love with surfing. Secondly, for novices, the appropriate board is often not small and light at all.
For beginners, the big board is more suitable. You can take as much as you can. Understand? It is best to bring a board with a length of at least 8 feet. If it is more than 9 feet, it is better. It would be better if you could make a foam texture. Now in the Chinese market, you can also buy many beautiful boards with very long volume.
You don't have to use a short board to surf. Short board is just a kind of surfboard, and it can only be used in some situations, not at any time and anywhere. The long board is the classic surfboard, which has been used by most surfers for decades. Only in the 1970s did people design short boards.
At the beginning of training, use a large soft board (i.e. exercise board) to ensure that you can catch waves more easily. In the first few days, you will fall on the board or be hit by the board. Using exercise board can avoid injury. So if you go to the beach, you might as well find a coach to make sure you can use a soft board. This is for your safety. Remember, surfing is not just chasing the waves as you see in the movies. Who knows, maybe one day, you will really find yourself a very talented extreme surfer. But most of the time, surfing is a kind of enjoyment, so that you can safely stay with your friends in the sea and experience the fun of the sea and nature.
