Basic Knowledge Of Drifting

1. The drifting period is from April to October every year. Before departure, try to choose simple and easy to dry clothes, but do not be too thin or too light in color, or you will be embarrassed if you fall into the water. In addition, carry a set of clean clothes for replacement when you get off the ship, and a pair of plastic slippers for wearing on the ship; When the weather and temperature are not high, you can take your own raincoat or buy a raincoat at the starting place of rafting; If you have glasses, please find a rubber band to fasten your glasses.

2. Cash and valuables shall not be carried on board during rafting. In case of capsizing or other accidents, the rafting company and insurance company will not compensate the tourists for the lost cash and valuables; If you feel you have a rare opportunity and must bring a camera, you'd better bring a low-value fool machine, wrap it in a plastic bag in advance, open it when the beach is flat, and wrap it when crossing the dangerous beach, and be prepared to throw it into the water;

3. The first thing to do on board is to carefully read the drifting instructions, follow the arrangement of the boatman, wear a life jacket and find a safety rope; When the drifting boat passes through the dangerous shoals, it shall follow the instructions of the boatman, do not move casually, grasp the safety rope, tighten its feet, and tilt its body to the center of the hull; In case of capsizing, you should not panic at all, but be calm, because you are wearing a life jacket; It is not allowed to get off the ship for swimming at will. Even if swimming, you should swim on the calm water according to the boatman's opinion. You are not allowed to act independently away from the hull.

4. The float boat is made of high molecular materials and has three independent air chambers. Under normal use, there will be no air leakage. Because the stream is not deep, even if there is a problem, it can go ashore in time, sound the call for help whistle on the life jacket, find the rescue personnel and replace the float boat.

5. Cross dangerous shoals safely. Please pay attention to the arrows and slogans along the way during drifting, which can help you find the main waterway and be alert to the falling water area in advance. Before reaching the dangerous beach, you can first predict the general direction downstream; Then ask everyone to pull back the oars, put their feet back into the boat and close together, grasp the protective rope on the edge of the boat with both hands, bend down, don't stand up, stabilize the center of gravity of the boat and keep it stable. Generally, they can get through safely.

6. Out of the whirlpool. When the river flow is deep, eddies often appear. At this time, try to avoid being involved and bypassing. If you are involved, keep calm and let the boat rotate along the migratory current. When it turns to the periphery of the vortex, everyone can paddle out of the dilemma with all their strength.

7. Avoid collision. Keeping stable and avoiding collision are the principles to be observed in the drifting process. When there is no way to avoid, the boat body shall be controlled at the angle of frontal collision (side collision is easy to cause capsizing), and the personnel shall grasp the rope. After the collision, the boat body will be parallel to the shore. At this time, the passengers on this side should pay attention to retracting their feet to avoid injury. Sometimes the boats will be very close to each other. In order to avoid collision, both sides should cooperate with each other to paddle in the opposite direction or push the boat away.

8. Grounding. Where there are dense stones, the watercourse becomes narrower, the water depth becomes shallower, and the water flow becomes faster, which is prone to grounding. There is no need to panic at this time. The oar can be used to hold the stone and force the boat body away from the grounding. If this move is not effective, you should send personnel into the water to pull or push the boat into the current from the side, and the boat puller should be quick sighted and careful.

9. Falling into the water. In case of accidentally falling into the water, do not panic. The buoyancy of the life jacket is enough to lift people to the surface, and the companion on the boat should stretch out a paddle to let the drowning person grasp. If the person falling into the water is far away from the rubber boat, try to get ashore or stay on the back surface of the stone (the water flow on the upstream surface is strong and easy to be hit by the rubber boat) to wait for rescue.

10. Capsize. Capsizes often occur in areas with strong currents, often due to the instability of the center of gravity of the rubber boat caused by someone falling into the water. Keep calm after capsizing and straighten the boat body first; When re boarding the boat, pay attention to the balance of forces on both sides. When people on one side climb the boat, someone on the other side should hold them down. The fallen paddle should be picked up in time, otherwise you can only paddle by hand in the slow flow area. Air chamber rupture is the worst case. Adjust the position of the personnel on the boat, and do not sit in the position of the broken air chamber; Try to keep the rubber boat stable and wait for rescue.
