Surfing rules
May 09, 2022
Surfing events are generally divided into short board, long board men's and women's events, and men's and women's team events. The duration of the event is adjusted according to the wave conditions, and the best conditions are selected for the competition. The duration of the whole event generally ranges from 1 day to 10 days. (therefore, the game can not be watched every day, so it is necessary to pay attention to the real-time broadcast status update of the game.). Individual events will be promoted in individual rounds. Generally, the top two players with the best performance in this group will be selected in a group of 3 or 4 people to advance to the next round.
Isa world Surfing Association's competition rules have a resurrection round (3 and 4 players in the first round group can enter the resurrection round to continue to strive for the top two promotion until the final combination). WSL world surfing Union's competition rules only have a resurrection round, and the top two players in the resurrection round enter the main round to continue the competition. In the surfing competition, the full score of each wave is 10 points. Take the best two waves of each group as the final result. 0.1-1.9 points are poor, 2-3.9 points are qualified, 4-5.9 points are average, 6-7.9 points are good, and 8-10 points are excellent. Of course, the score will fluctuate and adjust according to the wave conditions. The referee group is generally composed of 3-5 law enforcement referees, 1 chief referee, 1 rotation referee and 1 priority referee. The duration of each group of competitions varies from 15 minutes to 35 minutes, which is adjusted according to the wave frequency of the competition site.
